Dialogue national : le président ouvre les audiences avec les anciens PM et ministres, ce jeudi
On the occasion of the National Dialogue Day on May 28, the Head of State announced a new approach this year: individual meetings held with former members of the Executive branch, before broadening the consultations to include prominent figures and representatives of key sectors of the nation.
"At the start of his communication, the President of the Republic addressed the National Dialogue Day celebrated on May 28. He decided to hold, this year, in view of the particular religious context, individual audiences, from May 21 to 31, 2026, with several personalities to discuss the national economic, social, security and political situation, in place of the large public meetings previously organized," reads the communiqué from the Council of Ministers this Wednesday, May 20.
Reiterating his constant commitment to strengthening lasting consensus around operational solutions that improve the lives of people and the country's international standing, the Head of State "announces that he will receive, starting tomorrow, former Prime Ministers and former Ministers, in particular those who were in charge of finance and internal security."
Finally, Bassirou Diomaye Diakhar Faye indicated that "other personalities, notables and representatives of the vital forces of the Nation will also be received at a later date".
