Diaspora sénégalaise : Bassirou Diomaye Faye annonce une refonte profonde de la gouvernance
President Bassirou Diomaye Faye offered a clear and frank assessment of the persistent difficulties faced by Senegalese citizens living abroad. During a meeting dedicated to the diaspora, the Head of State presented a clear diagnosis and outlined an ambitious reform, aligned with the strategic vision of Senegal 2050, aimed at achieving more inclusive and effective governance.
Among the major challenges identified are access to housing, a lack of reliable information on investment opportunities, bureaucratic delays, and insufficient proximity of consular services. These are all constraints which, according to the president, call for structural and sustainable solutions.
On the issue of housing, Bassirou Diomaye Faye acknowledged a priority requiring "appropriate and sustainable solutions" through the implementation of credible public policies and innovative financial mechanisms. Regarding consular administration, he announced significant upcoming reforms centered around three key areas: simplifying procedures, improving service for users, and increasing the reliability of issued documents.
The Head of State also stressed the need to strengthen the protection and assistance of Senegalese living abroad, particularly in the face of tragedies related to murders, human trafficking networks or situations of consular distress.
"Our consular protection and support system will need to be strengthened to ensure close monitoring of each case," he said, referring to the suffering of families often left without answers for long periods.
Digital technology and the New Deal for Technology also featured prominently in the presidential address. For Bassirou Diomaye Faye, digital technology represents a strategic lever for bringing Senegal closer to its diaspora and leveraging its potential.
"Digital technology abolishes distances. The diaspora, already close in spirit, becomes even closer through its concrete and permanent commitment to serving the country," he stressed, calling for increased mobilization of skills in the fields of economics, science, technology and administration.
Finally, the President of the Republic recalled the launch of a special program to support and promote Senegalese abroad, aimed at establishing integrated, inclusive and sustainable governance in line with the ambitions of Senegal 2050.
"The diaspora should no longer be seen solely as a source of financial resources, but as a true strategic partner in building our common future," concluded Bassirou Diomaye Faye, advocating for better listening, strengthened representation and support adapted to the realities of Senegalese abroad.

Les consulats peuvent organiser des évènements dépolitisés (c'est très important) pour que les expatriés viennent avec leurs enfants communier avec les compatriotes et à cette occasion, presenter un cahier de doleances ou boite à idees sur plusieurs domaines : santé, sports, education, tourisme (la question de la cherté des billets empeche bcp d'enfants d'expatriés de venir au pays, epargne, retraite pour qu'on propose des idées de projets qui beneficieront à la diaspora.
Une pétition vient d'être lancée pour la protection diplomatique et juridique des enfants de la diaspora et de leurs familles.

Ceux qui continuent à croire à ses discours populistes pour calmer ses moutons sont aussi des moutons pour croire aux déclarations de Sonko.
Pour les martyrs, Sonko sait très bien qu'il est le principal responsable des morts. Son nom figure sur les PV des causes des manifestations. Il a toutes les informations mais il veut juste manipuler ses moutons.
Pourquoi vouloir systématiquement entretenir, ou créer un epiphenomene de division pour alimenter les senegalais qui ont faim, soif, sans emplois et sous la menace dune ceinture de terrorisme.... tout le temps. Je me pose cette question quotidienne , et cela me hnate finalement. Que veut on ? Ou va-t-on ? Gardons le cao sur l'essentiel, nos institutions et le mieux être de nos populations.
Les hommes et le pouvoir passent, le Sénégal reste et restera avec nos enfants et petits enfants.
