«Faites des demandes d'explication…» : L’instruction ferme du PM Al Aminou Lô aux ministres
Prime Minister Mohamed Al Aminou Lô delivered a firm speech to his ministers yesterday. He asked them to take responsibility for certain behaviors that often hinder the work of the government and the administration.
"What I discovered in this administration is that they never ask for explanations. In the company where I was, when there is a problem, they ask for explanations. Ministers, ladies and gentlemen, ask for explanations," the head of government insisted.
He continued: “The Senegalese concept of maslaha is costing the people dearly. And maslaha has been distorted. In Arabic, maslaha means the public interest. That is to say, when there is no standard in the Quran, in the Sunna, in the interpretations, we bring in maslaha which says, ‘You take the public interest into account when deciding.’ And for us, maslaha means you close your eyes, you let it happen. That’s unacceptable,” he declared.
The head of government was speaking at an inter-ministerial meeting on Friday dedicated to flood prevention.
