Fonction Publique, Travail et Réforme du service public : Le ministre Olivier Boucal prône la continuité et l’innovation
Olivier Boucal, the new Minister of Civil Service, Labor, and Public Service Reforms, has made his ambitions clear. The handover ceremony between him and the former Minister of Labor, Abass Fall, who has become Mayor of Dakar, took place this Tuesday.
"I am deeply honored to take over from my illustrious predecessor, Abass Fall, who brilliantly served the Republic as Minister of Labor, Employment and Relations with Institutions. His mandate was marked by unwavering commitment, a high sense of patriotism and a remarkable contribution to the defense of workers' rights as well as to the economic and social development of the country," he immediately declared to the mayor of the capital.
On his new responsibilities, the Minister stated that in line with the Senegal 2050 vision, which aims to make our nation a sovereign, just and prosperous state, "I am resolutely committed to implementing innovative and inclusive public policies, aimed at improving the quality of public services, promoting sustainable economic growth and strengthening the capacities of our administration."
According to him, "in accordance with the strategic orientations defined by President Bassirou Diomaye Faye and following the instructions of Prime Minister Ousmane Sonko, he will resolutely pursue the reforms necessary for the modernization of our administration."
This will involve, he said, "in particular, improving governance, consolidating the culture of performance and extending the efforts already undertaken by Abass Fall, whose actions laid the foundations for a more efficient administration that is closer to citizens." "Thus, in a spirit of continuity and responsibility, I fully appreciate the challenges to be met and remain convinced that, through work, transparency and listening, we will succeed in building an exemplary administration, in the service of national progress," said Olivier Boucal.
