« J’étais mourant… » : la pique d'Amadou Bâ aux "arrivistes de la dernière heure"
Former Minister of Culture, Amadou Bâ, reacted to the political turmoil following the break between the President of the Republic, Bassirou Diomaye Faye, and the leader of Pastef, Ousmane Sonko.
"Yes, I was dying, and I held on because of my belief in the PROJECT and justice for our martyrs," he said in a message posted on X with a video showing him in bed.
Bassirou Diomaye Faye's representative during the presidential election of March 24, 2025, was keen to recall the sacrifices made during the years of struggle by the opposition now in power.
In the aftermath, Amadou Bâ attacked those he called "last-minute opportunists," urging them not to fuel tensions between the two main figures in the presidential camp. "Let no last-minute opportunist push the President of the Republic into a confrontation with Pastef and his brother, President Sonko," he declared.
He also offered prayers for "success and achievement" for the new government.
