Keur Mame Al Hadj : Serigne Gaye Ndiéguene appelle au patriotisme et à la discipline républicaine
It is beyond "any partisan consideration" that Serigne Gaye Ndiéguene, religious guide and committed patriot, wanted to make a solemn appeal to all patriots, to "put water in our bissap, show restraint, discipline and republican patience".
The grandson of Serigne Ahmadou Barro Ndiéguene, who says he is not a "sonkist" (sic) in the partisan sense of the term, but doubly claims to be an "ousmanist" (sic) by lineage of values and by recognition of a moral and patriotic consistency, continued: "It is our collective duty to follow the directives of our leader and to give a welcome worthy of a head of state to President Bassirou Diomaye Diakhar Faye on the occasion of his economic tour in the different regions of the country."
According to the Moddap coordinator for the Thiès department, "social peace, national unity, and the success of public action require maturity and a sense of responsibility." He believes that "with consistency and loyalty to the Republic, Ousmane Sonko will, when the time comes and without a doubt, assume the highest responsibilities of the State."
Serigne Gaye Ndiéguene recalls that "my father and educator, Serigne Ousmane Ndiéguene, a figure of values, moral rigor and spiritual elevation, transmitted to me an education based on intrinsic principles that I find today in President Ousmane Sonko."
