La Convergence des Cadres Républicains dénonce l’incarcération de son coordonnateur Pape Malick Ndour
The Convergence of Republican Executives (CCR) reacted strongly to the imprisonment of its coordinator, Pape Malick Ndour, who was detained in Rebeuss prison on Friday, May 15, 2026, on the orders of the public prosecutor and after being questioned by the Criminal Investigation Division (DIC). In a statement, the organization deemed the decision "deeply political" and saw it as a manipulation of the judicial system against the opposition.
The CCR points out that the report from the General Inspectorate of Finance (IGF) mentioned in this case dates from 2018, i.e. before Pape Malick Ndour took office as head of the Community Agricultural Domains Program (PRODAC) in June 2019. The structure emphasizes that "no official report from a state control body calls into question his management", thus questioning the real basis of the procedure and the systematic use of measures depriving him of his liberty in cases with strong political connotations.
Beyond the individual case of its coordinator, the CCR believes this affair raises broader questions about respect for civil liberties, the rule of law, and the balance of institutions. It has announced the opening of consultations with religious leaders, traditional authorities, citizens' organizations, and diplomatic missions in order to "denounce this situation and raise awareness of the worrying abuses" in the conduct of public affairs.
In this context, the CCR reaffirms its "total, fraternal, and unwavering" support for Pape Malick Ndour, commending his commitment and moral integrity. It concludes by expressing its conviction that "truth and justice will ultimately prevail over this attempt at destabilization."
