Le député Mbaye Dione alerte sur l’absence de gouvernement et les difficultés des Sénégalais

The mayor and member of parliament for Ngoundiane, Mbaye Dione, expressed his deep concern about the political and social situation in Senegal. In a statement, he denounced what he considers irregularities in the election of Ousmane Sonko as president of the National Assembly, while calling on the authorities to focus on the urgent concerns of the people.

According to him, the election of the president of the National Assembly does not respect either the law or the institution's internal regulations. "They violated Article 15 of the National Assembly's internal regulations, and they know it," he stated.

Beyond this institutional issue, Mbaye Dione was particularly concerned about the absence of a government for several days. He believes this situation arises at a time when the country is facing numerous economic and social challenges requiring swift action.

The parliamentarian specifically mentioned the difficulties faced by the population during the recent Tabaski festival. According to him, despite the abundance of sheep in the markets, sellers struggled to find buyers due to the economic hardships experienced by many households.

He also drew attention to the challenges related to the upcoming agricultural season. While the first rains have already fallen in some areas, farmers are still waiting for the necessary seeds to begin agricultural activities. "We don't even have a Minister of Agriculture to address these issues," he lamented.

Mbaye Dione also mentioned the students' concerns and the particularly difficult economic situation. Faced with these challenges, he called on the President of the Republic and the new Prime Minister to quickly establish a government capable of providing concrete solutions to the expectations of the Senegalese people.

The mayor-MP of Ngoundiane believes that the authorities must pay more attention to the daily emergencies faced by the citizens who elected them. He argues that swift action is needed to address the concerns of the population and restore trust in government.
