Le parti Rewmi dénonce l’arrestation de Maimouna Ndour Faye et Babacar Fall
The Rewmi party expressed its dismay following the arrest of journalists Maimouna Ndour Faye and Babacar Fall, as well as the obstruction of broadcasts by 7TV and TFM channels.
In a statement published this Wednesday, October 29, the party led by Idrissa Seck strongly condemned these acts, which it considers a serious attack on freedom of expression and the free exercise of the profession of journalism.
"President Idrissa Seck and the Rewmi party strongly condemn these attacks on freedom of expression and the free exercise of the profession of journalism," emphasizes the document signed by Secretary General Matar Sèye.
The party is therefore calling for the immediate release of the journalists concerned and the lifting of all restrictive measures targeting the media outlets 7TV and TFM.
For Idrissa Seck's comrades, it is essential to preserve fundamental freedoms and guarantee a climate conducive to democratic expression in Senegal.

Décidément je comprends pourquoi les étrangers ont peur du sénégalais. La malhonneté intellectuelle, la fourberie et l'hypocrisie que les étrangers pensent de nous, montrent son vrai visage à travers ce régime Diomaye et Sonko. En effet:
- depuis quand on arrête la femme et les enfants d'un homme recherché par la justice ?
- pourquoi cette justice arrête la famille de Madiambale Diagne alors qu'elle ne l'avait pas pour la famille de Ousmane Sonko quand il a fuit à Ziguinchor?
- pourquoi cette justice arrête Maïmouna Ndour Faye et Babacar Faye alors qu'elle ne l'avait pas pour Pierre Edouard Faye quand il était parti interviewé Sonko à Ziguinchor?
C'est triste et dommage. La dictature rempante est en marche au Sénégal et Diomaye a intérêt à surveiller ses arrières.
