Le Parti socialiste pose les jalons de la remobilisation
The Secretary General of the Socialist Party, Aminata Mbengue Ndiaye, is playing the role of firefighter. This Thursday, February 5, 2026, the Socialist Party held a meeting during which tensions rose considerably. Yet the meeting's purpose was to define a new strategy and strengthen cohesion in anticipation of upcoming elections. Her stance was appreciated. She reminded everyone that their political party is at a crucial juncture in presenting the conclusions of the Special Recovery Commission. This commission was established by a circular dated June 19, 2025, following approval by the 20th session of the expanded Political Bureau, which included the General Secretaries of the coordinating bodies.
The main objective of this 102nd session of the National Executive Secretariat, expanded to include members of the Special Recovery Commission, is to present the conclusions of this commission, after a period of six months granted to its members to accomplish the mission assigned to them by the circular letter.
“Dear Comrades, I urge you to discuss this matter in order to make concrete proposals at the Political Bureau session scheduled for this purpose this Saturday, February 7, 2026, with a view to preparing and organizing the Extraordinary Congress stipulated in Article 26 of our statutes,” she urged. In truth, the proposals from the National Executive Secretariat should serve to improve the work of the special recovery committee.
