Ndiaganiao : PASTEF lance la machine de guerre pour les Locales, Mor Sarr en première ligne
As the next local elections approach, political leaders of the PASTEF party are intensifying their field activities in the commune of Ndiaganiao, with the aim of remobilizing activists and strengthening their local roots.
Mor Sarr, administrative secretary of the Pastef communal section, explains that these meetings are part of a strategy to build closer ties with the local population. "We take every opportunity to meet with local figures, exchange ideas with women, the true agents of development, and organize discussions. We have also met with party members from other areas as well as the herders' movement," he says.
According to him, all these initiatives aim to revitalize the grassroots and prepare for the conquest of the Ndiaganiao mayoralty. "This work is part of a remobilization strategy for the local elections, but also the launch of a deployment program to kick-start the development of the locality," he adds.
When asked about the priorities of the population, Mor Sarr emphasizes the infrastructural lag in the area, particularly in the Sandokh sector, which has 14 villages. "Only three villages are electrified: Ndjoudjouf, recently thanks to the ASER program, Sangaye and Soussoung, which is not even fully covered," he specifies.
Isolation is also a major challenge. “In both the rainy and dry seasons, access is very difficult. The sandy roads complicate travel, especially for medical evacuations,” adds Mor Sarr. Added to this are the problems of access to water, with difficulties related to pressure and the adaptation of hydraulic infrastructure. “We recently helped resolve an extension issue in Ndadafakh with the support of OFOR, but much remains to be done,” he acknowledges.
Furthermore, young people face a lack of sports infrastructure. He stated: "Young people often use school grounds due to a lack of dedicated spaces. We plan to implement a public lighting program to encourage sports activities, even at night."
For his part, Mbaye Diouf, technical advisor to the director of ONAS and political leader in Ndengler, praised the mobilization of party members. "We thank everyone present today for remobilizing the PASTEF party, which has always stood by the people."
He believes this momentum is a continuation of the party's electoral successes: "In the last elections, PASTEF came out on top in the area. We hope this trend will continue in the next elections."
Displaying his confidence, he is already talking about the prospect of victory. "We are convinced that our future candidate, Mr. Mor Sarr, who is also an advisor to the President of the Republic, will be the party's candidate for the municipality of Ndiaganiao and that he will win these elections," says Mbaye Diouf, who calls for unity among party members to support the vision of the Head of State, Bassirou Diomaye Diakhar Faye, in a dynamic of sustainable local development.
