At the initiative of Serigne Mbaye Thiam, national secretary in charge of elections, the Socialist Party (PS) is holding a strategic meeting this afternoon at 5 p.m. at the Léopold Sédar Senghor party house.
This meeting brings together members of the electoral commission of the central committee, as well as the presidents of departmental councils, mayors and potential candidates of the political party.
According to the summons note signed by the permanent secretary of the PS, Cheikh S. Seye, and consulted by Les Échos, the discussions will focus on preparations for the upcoming territorial elections and the party's strategy in this regard.
