The president of the Pastef-Les Patriotes party, Ousmane Sonko, carried out a major restructuring of his party's Political Bureau on Sunday, April 19, 2026. This decision, formalized after approval by the National Council, marks a turning point in the organization of the ruling party.
Among the key appointments, four individuals have been promoted to the rank of vice-presidents and members of the Executive Committee: these are Messrs. Malick Ndiaye, Abass Fall, Daouda Ngom and Moustapha Sarré.
The strategic position of Secretary General, who is also a member of the Executive Committee, has been entrusted to Mohamed Ayib Salim Daffé. He will be supported by a team of Deputy Secretaries General composed of Khadidiatou Diop (also known as Khadija Mahecor Diouf), Fadilou Keita, Khady Diène Gaye, Bassirou Kebe, and Birom Holo Ba.
The party's communications division is now headed by Amadou Ba, appointed national secretary in charge of communications, with Arame Ndoye Gassama as his deputy.
Assane Mbengue will be in charge of organization and logistics, while Malick Sy will head the national secretariat responsible for training. Finally, Babo Amadou Ba has been appointed coordinator of the National Movement of Patriotic Executives (MONCAP).
