Stabilité du Sénégal : Ce que Diomaye Faye attend de chaque citoyen pour protéger la République
In an international context marked by conflict and uncertainty, President Bassirou Diomaye Faye made a strong appeal for the preservation of national stability. Indeed, the Head of State addressed the nation on the eve of the Independence Day celebrations, which this year are scheduled to take place in the Thiès region.
Faced with the crises shaking several regions of the world, he emphasized Senegal's unique situation, stressing that peace and stability are not permanent achievements. "The Republic is the fruit of a continuous collective effort," he declared. The Head of State thus called for strengthened civic discipline and loyalty to institutions, considered the foundation of the country's resilience. For the President, our country owes this stability to its values and its unity.
Paying tribute to the defense and security forces, the Head of State described them as Senegal's "silent shield." He praised their role in protecting the population and borders, as well as their commitment to addressing security threats. The modernization of the security apparatus and the strategic redeployment, particularly in sensitive areas, reflect, in his view, a desire to anticipate and adapt to contemporary challenges.
