Thiès : la coalition « Diomaye Président » se mobilise pour le 4 avril et défend le bilan du chef de l’État
A few days before the celebration of Independence Day, the "Diomaye President" coalition faced the press to discuss preparations for April 4th and to review the two years of governance of President Bassirou Diomaye Faye.
Members of the coalition praised the President's record, highlighting the actions undertaken since he came to power. They also expressed their gratitude for the choice of Thiès to host the celebration of Senegal's 66th Independence Day. According to them, this decision demonstrates respect for the railway capital, which is also hosting National Youth Week.
In the wake of this, the coalition launched an appeal for the general mobilization of the people of Thiès. "All citizens must rise up as one to give the President a warm welcome and make this celebration a resounding success," its leaders insisted.
Beyond this appeal, "Diomaye Président" also brought to the attention of the authorities several major concerns of the residents of Thiès. These include the deterioration of road infrastructure, the need to revitalize the local industrial sector, and the revitalization of the railway, considered a pillar of the city's economic development.
The situation in the Niayes region was also discussed. The coalition advocated for increased support for farmers to make food self-sufficiency a sustainable reality in Senegal.
Finally, members of the coalition deplored the silence of the Pastef party regarding the record of the President's achievements after two years in power, calling for better communication around government actions.
