Tivaouane : Les proches de Macky Sall fustigent la gestion de Diomaye
The APR party in Tivaouane is ready for battle. Neney Fatoumata Tall, Seynabou Gaye Touré, Aymérou Gningue, and Diagne Sy Mbengue are denouncing the management of the current government.
“The overall political situation in the country is worrying. We are witnessing a duality at the highest levels of government, and this is deplorable because it is the very institutions that are being weakened; the authority of the state is no longer respected, and the highest institution in the country is being insulted and dragged through the mud at every turn.” These remarks come from former minister, Ms. Néné Fatoumata Tall, who presided over the installation of the Tivaouane departmental executive secretariat of the Alliance for the Republic (APR) on Sunday, December 14, 2025.
An opportunity for Ms. Tall and the APR members of Tivaouane/Department, including the president of the departmental council, Ms. Seynabou Gaye Touré, the former deputy-mayor of Mérina Ndakhar and president of the Benno Bokk Yakaar (BBY) parliamentary group, Aymérou Gningue, the former mayor of Tivaouane, Mamadou Diagne Sy Mbengue, to return extensively to the reconquest of power.
They denounced "the wasteful management of the current administration by President Bassirou Diomaye Diakhar Faye, his Prime Minister, Ousmane Sonko, and the government." "The country's economic situation is catastrophic. For two years now, it's clear that the country hasn't progressed. On the contrary, we are falling behind our neighbors and the world," denounced supporters of former head of state, President Macky Sall.
They launched a scathing attack on the current regime, which they say has completely "desacralized the institutions of the Republic." "We cannot remain silent when we realize that the Republic is being desacralized, that the institutions are being trivialized, that the State is declining, and that the nation is disintegrating." They added, "All Senegalese are being called upon to act. We belong to the same nation, we share the same goals for this country, even though we are in the opposition."
Members of the ruling party note that since President Macky Sall's departure, the country has not progressed in a positive way, hence the need to regain power. They also reiterate: "We did not go to the opposition; we found ourselves in the opposition. Our party is in the opposition, and we must accept that."
According to them, "the APR is moving, it is growing and is the largest opposition party; it is rebounding after two years of losing power, and is expanding its presence in all 46 departments of the country. The party is coming alive, and its leaders are all over the country spreading President Macky Sall's message, which urges activists to remobilize, to regain power, and to expand the party."
President Macky Sall's upcoming statements indicate that "the biggest issue of the moment, which concerns us all, politicians and non-politicians alike, is the development and above all the stability of this country, which is our greatest wealth."
