UCAD : Abdoulaye Wilane exige la prise en charge des étudiants blessés lors des manifestations par le gouvernement
Socialist Party (PS) spokesman Abdoulaye Wilane expressed his solidarity with the students injured during the demonstrations at Cheikh Anta Diop University of Dakar (UCAD).
"We demand that the State of Senegal, instead of closing campuses and sending students home, take care of the victims of the incalculable repression," he said at the press conference of the Defense Front for the Republic on Tuesday, February 10.
The socialist also called for transparency in the case of the deliberate transmission of the disease, which has been reported in the press. "It would be beneficial for Senegal, for the Senegalese people, if the prosecutor or judge in charge of the investigations addressed the nation to clarify the matter," he stated.
He also expressed his solidarity with the parents and Senegalese people shocked by this affair and demands that the State take responsibility for treating those known to be carriers of a disease.
Abdoulaye Wilane also called on the government to put an end to the catastrophic statements and unfounded accusations of Prime Minister Ousmane Sonko.
