«Un koulouna à l’Ofnac ?» : la mise en garde de Waly Diouf Bodiang
The Director General of the Autonomous Port of Dakar, Waly Diouf Bodiang, also a member of the ruling Pastef party, reacted this Wednesday to the call for applications launched for the appointment of future members of the National Office for the Fight against Fraud and Corruption (OFNAC).
In a public post, he warned of the risk of controversial figures reaching the top of the institution. "The call for applications risks putting a pure koulouna back at the head of OFNAC," he wrote, referring to individuals suspected of having built their careers on fraudulent practices.
According to him, such a scenario would run counter to OFNAC's mission. "The broom does not accommodate competitions open to this type of citizen with a heavily burdened conscience," he warns. Before adding: "Someone who has enriched themselves illicitly could find themselves at the head of OFNAC, having used embezzled public money to genetically modify their CV."
