The Minister of the Interior and Public Security, Mouhamadou Bamba Cissé, paid a courtesy visit this Tuesday, October 28, to the religious cities of Tivaouane, Ndiassane, and Keur Mame El Hadj (Thiès). On this occasion, he highlighted the essential role of religious centers in consolidating peace and stability in Senegal.
Master Mouhamadou Bamba Cissé informed the religious authorities that the only objective of President Diomaye Faye and Prime Minister Ousmane Sonko is to work to get Senegal out of the difficulties in which it finds itself, through the implementation of the Senegal Horizon 2050 plan.
The Minister of the Interior reiterated that his department is the backbone of the state, as it is responsible for ensuring the safety of citizens and their property. According to him, a country that is not secure can fall into instability. This is why security, peace, and stability are essential to any socioeconomic development.
Mr. Cissé added that the new state authorities have made sacrifices to maintain peace and stability in the country in order to serve the people and rebuild Senegal based on values. He then asked for prayers for the consolidation of peace and stability in the country.
The Minister of the Interior and Public Security was accompanied by the Governor of Thiès and other administrative and local authorities.
