Non-publication des rapports de la cour des comptes : le forum du justiciable dénonce une violation du code de transparence
In a statement received by Seneweb today, the executive office of the Forum of the Justiciable denounced the non-publication of the reports of the Court of Auditors of Senegal since 2017, which it describes as a "violation" of the Code of Transparency in the management of public finances.
The source reports that the 2018, 2019, 2020, 2021, 2022, 2023 and 2024 financial years remain in the shadows in blatant contradiction with the code of transparency in the management of public finances (...), a situation which reflects a "major institutional dysfunction".
According to the executive office, this "institutional silence" of the Court of Auditors has serious consequences, including: the deprivation of essential data for citizens and stakeholders to assess the management of public finances, the unavailability of necessary tools for members of parliament to carry out their oversight mission, and the lack of transparency in the management of public finances.
The Forum of the Justiciable calls on the Court of Auditors to fully assume its role by regularly publishing its annual and specific reports, in accordance with the Code of Transparency in the Management of Public Finances in order to consolidate democracy.
