Pris la main dans le sac pour vol d'oignons, ils finissent avec un dossier de drogue
Young men A. Bâ and I. Bâ appeared before the Thiès court for flagrant offenses on charges of stealing onions from farmer Moustapha. The incident occurred in Pout.
According to the plaintiff's statements, the accused took advantage of his absence to go to his field and harvest onions. "Each time, I noticed that a large area had been harvested," the plaintiff explained, adding that it was impossible for him to accurately estimate the quantity stolen. He is claiming 300,000 FCFA in damages.
In court, A. Bâ admitted to the facts, unlike his co-defendant I. Bâ, who attempted to deny any involvement. However, A. Bâ maintained that they had gone together to steal the onions, estimating the loot at three sacks.
The public prosecutor has requested the application of criminal law.
In addition to this theft case, the two defendants also appeared in court the same day for possession and use of marijuana. They were caught in their field in possession of "yamba".
Before the judge, A. Bâ and I. Bâ admitted the facts, stating that they only possessed one joint of Indian hemp.
In this second case as well, the prosecution requested the application of the law. Both cases were adjourned for deliberation.
