The Head of State, Bassirou Diomaye Faye, will preside, this Monday, March 30, 2026, in Thiès, over the official launch of the National Youth Week which opens under the aegis of Olympic values.

This year, the Thiès region has the honor of hosting this event, which will be marked by a range of activities including an opening ceremony on March 30 at the Lat Dior stadium in Thiès, cultural and sporting activities, etc. An opportunity for each ethnic group to show a facet of its culture.

The closing ceremony is scheduled for April 3rd at the Caroline Faye stadium in Mbour, under the chairmanship of Prime Minister Ousmane Sonko.
