Yeumbeul : Un homme viole sa voisine de 17 ans le soir du sacre du Sénégal à la CAN au Maroc
The Yeumbeul district police station has been assigned a case of rape of a minor resulting in pregnancy. The accused, AM Youla, 41 years old, residing in Yeumbeul, is accused of having abused his neighbor, ND Mbaye, 17 years old.
The events date back to the evening of February 18, 2026, when all attention was focused on celebrating Senegal's victory in the AFCON final against Morocco.
Taking advantage of the general euphoria, AM Youla sent the young girl to buy coal. Upon her return, he lured her to his room, forced himself on her, and penetrated her before threatening reprisals if she told her parents. He later repeated his actions, luring her back to his room to abuse her once more.
A few weeks later, the girl's physical change aroused the suspicions of her relatives. Cornered with questions, she finally confessed her ordeal to her aunt A. Faye, who immediately contacted the police on behalf of the victim's parents, whose mental faculties were believed to be impaired.
The requisition addressed to the chief physician of the Yeumbeul health center reveals an old injury and a twelve-week pregnancy, confirming the girl's statements.
Arrested at his home on April 10, 2026, AM Youla denied the allegations during his interrogation. During a confrontation with the victim, she provided an accurate description of the suspect's room, where an officer was conducting a forensic investigation. The suspect was then brought before Prosecutor Saliou Dicko.
