Angleterre: Tuchel ouvre la concurrence au milieu, Bellingham sommé de gagner sa place
With the 2026 World Cup just days away, Thomas Tuchel sent a clear message to Jude Bellingham. Despite his status as a key player for the English national team, the Real Madrid midfielder is not guaranteed a starting place.
In a press conference, the Three Lions manager reminded everyone that competition remains open within his squad. "He (Bellingham) will have to fight for his place. He knows he's one of the starters, but we have 14 or 15 potential starters. Roles can always change," the German coach warned.
Having already made bold decisions by leaving Phil Foden and Cole Palmer out of the World Cup squad, Tuchel is confirming his desire to prioritize performance and competition. Morgan Rogers, in particular, appears to be one of Bellingham's main rivals in the England midfield.
