Athlétisme : la Fédé adopte de nouvelles règles
The Senegalese Athletics Federation (FSA) held, on the sidelines of the National Championships, a General Information Assembly (AGI) covering two years of activities, as well as an Extraordinary General Assembly (EGA) devoted to the adoption of new texts.
According to Le Soleil, which relayed the information, these reforms now provide that all positions within the FSA will be filled by election at the General Assembly, and no longer by the Steering Committee. They also establish a ban on the holding of multiple elected offices.
The president of the Federation, Sara Oualy, quoted by the national daily, explained that these changes aim to fill a legal vacuum and put an end to internal divisions caused by texts that have become obsolete.
Quoted by the same source, Bara Thiam, first vice-president, welcomed the adoption of a clear and unified legal framework, guaranteeing stability for Senegalese athletics.
The double conclave was held in the presence of all the League presidents, under the supervision of a representative of the Ministry of Sports, adds Le Soleil.
