Bal Conférence Sahara : l’ASC Ville de Dakar chute encore
Forty-eight hours after their opening defeat against Tunisian side Club Africain, ASC Ville de Dakar were expected to perform well in their second match against Al Ahli of Cairo. But the Dakar team suffered another defeat.
However, Moustapha Gaye's men had started the game well, taking an 8-0 lead. But it was the Egyptians who won the first quarter 15-12. More dominant in the paint, particularly on the boards, Al Ahli's players also controlled the second quarter, leading 42-32 at halftime.
In the third quarter, ASC was more efficient, but Al Ahli maintained their lead (57-53). In the final quarter, ASC Ville de Dakar managed to tie the game at 61. However, in the closing minutes, the Dakar team made numerous mistakes, which the Egyptians capitalized on to regain control of the match.
More effective offensively, Al Ahli's players ultimately prevailed (76-72). With this latest defeat, ASC Ville de Dakar gets off to a very poor start in the Sahara Conference.
