Blessure de Lamine Yamal : Le FC Barcelone et l’Espagne retiennent leur souffle
There is great concern at FC Barcelona after Lamine Yamal was forced off with an injury on Wednesday against Celta Vigo (1-0). The 18-year-old winger, who scored the only goal of the match from the penalty spot, had to leave the field early, visibly suffering from a left thigh injury.
While the Catalan club was savoring a precious La Liga victory, the health of their star player quickly overshadowed the result. Yamal, who had a remarkable season with 28 league appearances and 16 goals, has become a key part of the Blaugrana system, making any potential absence particularly worrying.
After the match, Pedri didn't hide his concern. "I hope Lamine will miss as little time as possible. He'll have tests and we'll see what the problem is," the Catalan midfielder said. "He's young and will undoubtedly recover very well," he added.
Medical examinations are scheduled for Thursday to determine the exact severity of the injury. Meanwhile, the entire Spanish football community is holding its breath, less than two months before the start of the FIFA World Cup.
