Boxe: Fury réussit son retour contre Makhmudov, après 15 mois d'absence
British boxer Tyson Fury, former world heavyweight champion, won by unanimous decision against Russian Arslanbek Makhmudov on Saturday night in London, where he made his return to the ring after a fifteen-month absence.
The three judges declared the 37-year-old "Gypsy King" the winner after twelve rounds contested at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in north London, where the crowd was largely on his side.
The Englishman recorded his 35th victory (against 2 defeats and a draw) and inflicted his 36-year-old Russian opponent's third defeat (against 21 victories).
Fury had hung up his gloves in December 2024 after being beaten a second time by Ukrainian Oleksandr Usyk.
But, as is his wont, he announced in January that he wanted to return to competition once again, shortly after the car accident in which his English rival Anthony "AJ" Joshua lost two friends, and a few months after the suicide of his friend Ricky Hatton.
