Boy Niang 2 : son père nommé manager… mais déjà disqualifié par le règlement
Boy Niang 2's wrestling stable recently decided to entrust the management of the wrestler's career to his father, De Gaulle, also the stable's founder, replacing Bourkhane Wade. However, as Record, which broke the story, notes, this decision clashes with the regulations of the Senegalese Wrestling Federation (FSL).
Indeed, as the sports daily explains, Article 3 of the managers' statute, dedicated to "family incompatibility," is unequivocal. It strictly prohibits fathers, mothers, grandparents, or any person with a direct family connection to a wrestler from holding the position of manager. This prohibition allows for no exceptions and applies to all wrestlers, whether they are at the beginning of their careers or considered VIPs by the federation. The measure aims to preserve sporting ethics, transparency in career management, and the credibility of Senegalese wrestling.
Consequently, the same source concludes, under this provision, De Gaulle cannot obtain a manager's card or officially perform this function for his son. The stable will therefore have to reconsider its decision and appoint someone without a direct family relationship to the wrestler in order to remain compliant with FSL rules.
