CAN U20 2027 : Le Ghana va abriter le tournoi
The Confederation of African Football (CAF) officially announced on Tuesday the selection of Ghana to host the 2027 edition of the Africa Cup of Nations for under-20s.
In a statement released on its official platforms, the continental body emphasizes that this competition will coincide with the 70th anniversary of Ghana's independence, an opportunity to showcase the rich footballing history of this West African country.
This will be the second time Ghana has hosted this tournament, after the 1999 edition which was marked by the victory of the Black Satellites on home soil.
The U20 AFCON brings together 12 national teams and constitutes a major showcase for young African talents seeking recognition on the international stage.
As CAF points out, the four teams that qualify for the semi-finals will secure their place to represent Africa at the next U20 World Cup.
As a reminder, the last edition, held in Egypt, was won by South Africa.
