Disappointed last season after seeing the title slip away with US Gorée on the final day, Rafaël Ndong has exacted his revenge with Teungueth FC. At just 20 years old, the midfielder played a key role in the Rufisque side's victory, notably scoring the decisive goal against Guédiawaye FC. A year after narrowly missing out on the title with US Gorée, Rafaël Ndong is now savoring his revenge. The 20-year-old midfielder was instrumental in Teungueth FC's victory in the Senegalese Ligue 1, under the management of Malick Daf.

Last season, Ndong experienced immense disappointment when US Gorée lost the title on the final day to Malick Daf's Jaraaf of Dakar. Twelve months later, fate offered him a second chance, which he seized.

Having arrived at Teungueth FC during the off-season, the former US Gorée player quickly established himself as a key player in Malick Daf's system. Scoring three goals in 25 league appearances, he notably netted the decisive goal in the title-clinching match against Guédiawaye FC, a moment that will forever be etched in his young career.

Despite this decisive contribution, Rafaël Ndong prefers to highlight the collective strength that enabled Teungueth FC to return to the top of Senegalese football.

“This title belongs to the whole team. From President Babacar Ndiaye, who always wanted me at Teungueth FC, to Malick Daf, his staff and the players who have done a remarkable job. The season was very difficult, but we demonstrated the full quality of our squad,” the midfielder said.

This first league title with Teungueth FC marks a significant milestone in the young player's development. At just 20 years old, Rafaël Ndong has reached a new level and now aspires to join a more competitive league to further his growth and take his career to the next level.

After the disappointment of his time at US Gorée, the young midfielder has found the ideal environment to bounce back at Teungueth FC. This resounding sporting comeback could well be just the beginning for the Teungueth FC captain.
