Championnat du monde de handball féminin : le Sénégal termine sur une mauvaise note
The Senegalese women's national team ended their World Championship campaign with another defeat. The Lionesses, who had already lost to Denmark and Romania, suffered their third consecutive loss against Japan (27-23).
Determined to finish the competition on a high note, Hawa Ndiaye's teammates, with Ndiaye herself scoring six goals, held their own against Japan in the first half, trailing by only two goals at halftime (13-11). But in the second half, despite their fighting spirit, the Senegalese were unable to take the lead. In the end, Japan prevailed (27-23).
With two losses and one win in the first round, Senegal hoped to bounce back in the main round. However, the Lionesses faced very experienced opponents. Thus, despite their status as runners-up in the African Cup of Nations, Senegal did not have a successful tournament.
