CHELSEA: LE VERDICT DE LA FA EST TOMBÉ, MUDRYK CONDAMNÉ À QUATRE ANS DE SUSPENSION POUR DOPAGE
Chelsea winger Mykhailo Mudryk, suspended from the pitch since December 2024 due to a doping case, received his verdict on Wednesday. According to the English press, the Ukrainian has been handed a four-year ban by the FA.
Mykhaylo Mudryk knows his punishment. This Wednesday, according to the international press, the Chelsea player has been handed a four-year ban due to a doping case. Already sidelined pending the FA's (Football Association) verdict, and charged since June 2025, his suspension is now confirmed and will run until December 2028, the maximum applicable penalty.
This information was also relayed by journalist Fabrizio Romano on his X account, who points out that the Ukrainian winger has appealed the decision to the CAS (Court of Arbitration for Sport).
A long absence
Sidelined since December 2024, a 17-month ban already served, the 25-year-old will have to wait even longer before returning to the pitch. A major blow for him and his club, Chelsea, who signed him from Shakhtar Donetsk for €70 million.
A sensation at the Ukrainian club at the time, he attracted attention from across Europe, but he hasn't had the chance to live up to expectations. And this suspension, which delays his return, won't help matters. His last appearance on a football pitch dates back to November 2024, in a Conference League match against Heidenheim, during which he scored a goal.
