[Commentaire] Finale CAN 2025 : Une organisation biaisée aux allures de stratégie de déstabilisation contre les Lions du Sénégal
As the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations final approaches this Sunday in Rabat, African football is presenting a sorry spectacle off the pitch. What should have been a continental celebration has turned into a journey for Senegal, riddled with logistical obstacles, questionable improvisations, and indefensible decisions. Too many incidents, too much negligence, too many coincidences not to raise the question of a deliberate attempt to destabilize the country.
The first act in this string of misfortunes concerns tickets. For an Africa Cup of Nations final, the near-total inability of Senegalese supporters to access the stadium is scandalous. The allocated quota is derisory, unworthy of an event of this magnitude. Even worse, the players and the Senegalese Football Federation (FSF) were given an extremely limited number of tickets. This absurdity deprives the Lions of their twelfth man and immediately creates a glaring imbalance.
As if that weren't enough, the Senegalese delegation's arrival in Rabat was marked by a disturbing lack of professionalism. There was no security detail worthy of the name at the train station. The players, despite being international public figures, were left to fend for themselves. This serious oversight endangered their physical safety and demonstrated a complete disregard for basic security standards.
The saga continued with a simply unacceptable accommodation problem. The initial lodging offered to the Lions was in no way adequate for a finalist team. Inadequate conditions, lack of comfort, compromised preparation. The Senegalese Football Federation (FSF) had to contact the Confederation of African Football (CAF) before the organizers finally reconsidered and found suitable accommodation. How can a team of this caliber be treated with such disregard on the eve of such a historic event?
But the height of absurdity – or perhaps calculation – remains the question of the training ground. The organizers saw fit to impose a pre-match training session on the Lions… in the very heart of the Moroccan team's territory. A provocative decision, rightly rejected by the Senegalese staff. As a result, until their arrival in Rabat, Pape Thiaw and his players simply didn't know where they would be training. An unimaginable situation in a competition that aims to be professional and fair.
Taken individually, each of these incidents is already serious. Taken together, they paint a damning picture. Everything seems to point to a series of actions aimed at disrupting the composure, concentration, and preparation of Sadio Mané and his teammates. In a final, this kind of maneuver can turn the tide of a match even before kickoff.
The CAF and the organizers can no longer hide behind silence. African football deserves better than these shady practices and flexible arrangements. If the 2025 AFCON is to leave a legacy, it should not be one of suspicion and mistrust, but one of sporting justice. Otherwise, this final will remain tainted by a heavy sense of injustice, regardless of the performances on the pitch.

Et s'agitant du traitement des joueurs de l'équipe du Sénégal, c'est malheureusement encore des comportements indignes des pays du Maghreb qui datent de longtemps. Les clubs africains qui se rendent dans les pays du Maghreb pour les compétitions sportives (football, Basket et autres) ont toujours des problèmes avec eux. Si ce ne sont pas des tracasseries dans les aéroports, ce sont des imbécilités sur les routes pour aller rejoindre le stade, ce sont des séjours dans des hôtels de "mairde" bruyants ou personne ne peut dormir, ce sont des supporters insolents, impolis et agressifs, ce sont des arbitres corrompus.
Alors il est temps que la CAF et même la FIFA agissent et les exigent de respecter leurs adversaires autrement les pays africains n'ont qu'à leur rendre leurs coups et les maltraitera dès qu'ils viennent jouer chez eux. Il faut répondre aux coups avec des coups et en donner encore et encore.
Ce sera du oeil pour oeil et dent pour dent sur le terrain !
