A few hours after the announcement of the French team list, Belgian coach Rudi Garcia unveiled on Friday the players selected for the next FIFA World Cup 2026. A selection marked by a skillful mix between experienced veterans and young talents.

With the 2026 World Cup approaching, enthusiasm is rising among the Red Devils, determined to reclaim their place among the footballing elite after several years of transition following the golden generation. Drawn in Group G, Belgium will face Egypt, Iran, and New Zealand in the first round.

 

Unsurprisingly, several veteran leaders feature on this list. Kevin De Bruyne, Romelu Lukaku, and Thibaut Courtois will all be there to mentor this promising new generation. Senegalese-born midfielder Amadou Onana is also part of the squad.
