Décès tragique du jeune Cheikh Touré : la FSF exprime sa compassion et sa solidarité à la famille
In a press release sent to Seneweb on Tuesday, October 21, 2025, the Senegalese Football Federation expressed its support following the tragic death of Cheikh Touré, a young goalkeeper living in Yeumbeul.
"The Senegalese Football Federation (FSF) learned with deep sadness and emotion of the tragic death of Cheikh Toure, a young Senegalese goalkeeper living in the commune of Yeumbeul, who was found dead in Kumasi, Ghana, in dramatic circumstances," the FSF press release said.
The FSF wishes to express its compassion and solidarity to the family of the deceased, his loved ones and his teammates, who have been sorely affected by this loss.
She also calls on young players, their families and academy managers to be vigilant about unverified offers of training courses or transfers abroad.
Through its Executive Committee in conjunction with the public authorities, the FSF has reaffirmed its commitment to strengthening internal monitoring, awareness-raising and support systems designed to protect young Senegalese footballers against this type of fraudulent practice.
"In this time of mourning, the great Senegalese football family unites in prayer and solidarity to honor the memory of Cheikh Touré, a young talent taken too soon from life and his dream," the statement read.
