Défaite contre Reug Reug : Boy Niang 2 s’en prend violemment à… lui-même
Boy Niang 2 is struggling to accept his defeat against Reug Reug. But rather than making excuses, as many wrestlers do after a loss, the Pikine native is blaming himself. In comments reported by Record, he begins by confessing that he prepared for the fight like never before, relying on a brawl, an option deemed unstoppable by his opponent, according to his followers.
“For the past two years, I’ve focused on this aspect. I even recruited a coach from the national boxing team, Diallo. Five days before the fight, we met in the gym to refine certain techniques. This shows that I was aware it would take a real fight to defeat Reug Reug.”
On fight day, disaster struck: "Nothing worked. [...] I showed nothing in the arena. I didn't fight, I didn't wrestle either. And that hurts. The defeat doesn't hurt too much, because Reug Reug is a champion, he can beat anyone in the arena. My only regret is that I couldn't satisfy my fans."
Despite his complaint, Boy Niang 2, in a fair-play manner, congratulated his opponent, bowing down to him: "Reug Reug is a champion."
