Duel décisif Sénégal-Mauritanie : Ousmane Sonko sera présent dans les gradins du stade Abdoulaye Wade
In a match counting for the 10th and final day of the African qualifiers for the 2026 World Cup, the Lions of Teranga of Senegal will face Mauritania this Tuesday, October 14, 2025 at the Abdoulaye Wade Stadium in Diamniadio. Kick-off will be at 5 p.m.
Leading their group, the Senegalese, coached by Pape Thiaw, need a victory to formalize their ticket to their fourth final phase, after participations in 2002, 2018 and 2022. Prime Minister Ousmane Sonko will be present at the stadium to support the national team in this crucial "march", marking its second major football event after the Senegal Cup final.
The 2026 World Cup finals will take place from June 11 to July 19, 2026, in three host countries: the United States, Canada, and Mexico. It will be held in 16 stadiums across 11 cities.
