Élections controversées à la FSF : l’affaire atterrit au TAS
In the case of the controversial elections at the Senegalese Football Federation (FSF), opposing the president of Génération Foot, Mady Touré, to the current president of the FSF, Abdoulaye Fall, the journalist Romain Molina announced that a hearing before the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) will be held next week.
In September 2025, the electoral commission confirmed Abdoulaye Fall's victory in the second round, with 322 votes against 30 for Mady Touré.
Challenging these results, Mady Touré appealed to the highest sporting court, based in Lausanne, Switzerland. He believes the electoral process was marred by irregularities.
The president of Génération Foot had notably denounced "buying consciences" before withdrawing from the race and filing an appeal which should be examined next week.
This hearing comes at a tense time for the FSF, marked in particular by financial sanctions, convictions of supporters in Morocco and legal proceedings targeting the governing body of Senegalese football.
In this already tense climate, the CAS decision could reshuffle the cards and open a new zone of uncertainty for Senegalese football.
