I don't think the injuries they're attributing occurred during the last training session. That's not it. It's disappointing. It's unprofessional. But we have to live with it. That's why we made some adjustments in the match against Morocco. Some players got a little more playing time, others a little less," Solbakken continued.
The Norwegian coach's initial idea was to field one starting eleven against Morocco to play them for the entire match, then to do the same thing with a different starting eleven the next day, this Monday, to get as many players as possible into rhythm before the World Cup opener against Iraq.
Finally, yesterday, he was forced to take off his key players, including Erling Haaland, in the 72nd minute, to allow his other players to participate in what will therefore be the last friendly match for the Norwegians before the World Cup.
