Ethan Mbappé courtisé par le Cameroun : la réponse de Samuel Eto’o

The president of the Cameroonian Football Federation (FECAFOOT), Samuel Eto'o, was asked about the possibility of Ethan Mbappé playing for Cameroon. The former FC Barcelona striker acknowledged the young footballer's talent while remaining cautious about any attempt to recruit him.

"Ethan Mbappé? People say he's very good. Seeing him play for Cameroon? There are many players being courted, but to protect all these players, I'm not going to name them."

Eto'o then broadened the debate by stressing that beyond the attraction for dual-nationality players, FECAFOOT wants to strengthen local Cameroonian football and promote talent from the national championship.

Ethan Mbappé has yet to make any official public statement regarding a potential national team choice, and his international future remains open.

Bravo Etoo pour la réponse. Il faut travailler pour améliorer les championnats nationaux et faire éclore de nouveaux talents. Arrêtons de toujours courtiser les binationaux
