Senegalese Wrestling Federation: Reaction of the first elected president

Fédération sénégalaise de lutte : la réaction du premier président élu

Bira Sène has been elected president of the Senegalese Wrestling Federation (FSL), whose establishment marks the end of the era of the National Wrestling Committee (CNG), which had been in place since 1994. He obtained 110 of the 198 votes cast (out of 199 registered voters), far ahead of his two opponents, Kéba Kanté (70 votes) and Manga 2 (18). Below, we present the reaction of the former CNG president following his election.

“I wasn’t surprised because I have a clear program, with a precise vision for the future of wrestling. The Senegalese people I met embraced it. Today, their wish has been fulfilled. A major undertaking awaits us. We have four years to govern. We need a strong team, a solid federation. We will quickly review the general regulations to better organize activities. I am a hard worker, and I will get to work immediately with a committed team.”
