Finale CHAN 2024 : le Maroc s’adjuge une troisième étoile
It was a truly dream final that the many spectators at the Moi International Stadium in Nairobi experienced this Saturday. Madagascar and Morocco put on a superb show, concluded with a victory for the Atlas Lions (3-2).
However, the Moroccans started the match very badly, conceding the opening goal on an exceptional goal from Félicité Mantasoa (9th). Despite this early goal and the intense pressure from the Malagasy, Morocco managed to get back into the game thanks to Youssef Mehri, who headed in a cross from Khalid Baba (27th). With their experience and technical mastery, the Atlas Lions then took control of the game. And in the 44th minute, Oussama Lamliou gave Morocco the lead.
But unimpressed, the Malagasy equalized through Toky, who finished off a great team move (68th). However, despite their determination and courage, it was Morocco who had the last word thanks to a phenomenal goal from Lamliou, who lobbed the Malagasy goalkeeper too far forward (80th).
With this sixth goal of the tournament, which earned him the title of top scorer in the competition, the RS Berkane striker secured the trophy for his team. Following its successes in 2018 and 2020, Morocco has thus won the CHAN for the third time in its history.
