Football : Aliou Cissé et la Libye vers le divorce
It was L'AS that broke the news in its Thursday edition. "The departure of the Senegalese coach from his position as manager of Libya is now only a matter of days," the newspaper stated.
The problem? Eight months of unpaid wages for the Senegalese coach and his assistants. "By activating the termination clauses for 'just cause' with FIFA, the Senegalese coach finds himself de facto on the market," suggests the daily newspaper.
The same source suggests that the former Lions coach is already tipped to take the reins of another African national team.
Aliou Cissé has been in charge of the Libyan national team since March 2025. His contract runs until 2027. He earns 45 million CFA francs per month.
