Football : La Fédération tchadienne adopte de nouveaux textes écrits par un juriste sénégalais
The Chadian Football Federation has taken a major step in its institutional reform process. Meeting in an extraordinary general assembly this Thursday, April 16, 2026, in N'Djamena, the governing body of Chadian football adopted its new fundamental statutes.
During this meeting, delegates representing the 23 provincial leagues reviewed and approved several key documents, including the federation's statutes, the electoral code, the league statutes, and the code of ethics. These reforms aim to modernize the governance of national football and strengthen transparency in its operations.
All of these texts were drafted and updated by Moustapha Kamara, a Senegalese lawyer and professor of sports law, who was commissioned for this task between October and December 2025 by President Tahir Oloy Hassan. Before their adoption, the documents also received approval from FIFA's committee of experts, guaranteeing their compliance with international standards.
In his closing remarks, the FTFA president commended the delegates for their involvement and acknowledged the presence of representatives from the Confederation of African Football and FIFA. He also expressed his gratitude to Mr. Kamara for the quality of his work and reaffirmed his commitment to ensuring the rigorous implementation of these new regulations.
With this reform, the Chadian Football Federation is laying the foundations for renewed governance, in line with the requirements of modern football.
