Football : la FIFPRO dévoile son onze mondial 2025
FIFPRO has announced its 2025 World XI, chosen by 26,000 professional footballers from 68 countries. Created in 2005, this award is unique in that only the votes of professional players determine the team of the year.
For this 2025 edition, the result is quite surprising. In a bold 3-4-3 formation, Gianluigi Donnarumma is chosen as goalkeeper, protected by a central defense composed of Virgil van Dijk, Achraf Hakimi, and Nuno Mendes. A trio that, on the pitch, would undoubtedly leave the PSG goalkeeper with a lot of work.
On the wings, Vitinha and Cole Palmer were chosen as wing-backs, while the midfield is entrusted to the duo Jude Bellingham – Pedri, two young talents already indispensable on the world stage.
Up front, the attacking line is formidable: Kylian Mbappé, Lamine Yamal, and the 2025 Ballon d'Or winner, Ousmane Dembélé, form a resolutely forward-thinking trio. A spectacular starting eleven, rich in creativity and speed, but whose defensive balance can legitimately be questioned.
This lineup also highlights a well-known fact: excelling as a player doesn't always guarantee a clear tactical vision as a coach. Here, the voters' choices clearly favor individual talent and attacking flair.
