Football sénégalais : Amara Traoré tire la sonnette d’alarme sur la montée des violences dans les stades

Former Senegal national team coach Amara Traoré has broken his silence to strongly condemn the violence that is increasingly plaguing Senegalese stadiums. In a message posted on his social media, the first coach to win the inaugural edition of the professional championship in Senegal in 2009 denounced a situation he described as "scandalous."

According to him, the excesses seen in recent months are merely a reflection of a deeply rooted problem within local football. Amara Traoré points out that incidents are on the rise: supporters' buses vandalized, referees insulted, threatened, or even assaulted.

"The situation is becoming scandalous, but unfortunately it reflects the state of football in our stadiums for far too long," he lamented.

The former Lions coach also warned of the future risks if nothing is done. Today, he said, referees are the primary targets, but tomorrow it could be coaches, players, or even club officials.

"Several local football figures have already given up or are considering leaving this environment, which has become anxiety-inducing due to a lack of security and respect," he added.

According to Amara Traoré, this spiral of violence contributes to the gradual collapse of historic clubs, unable to find managers, players or technicians willing to commit to an environment deemed dangerous.

Faced with this worrying trend, he makes an urgent appeal to the entire Senegalese football community – supporters, coaches, managers and governing bodies – for a collective awakening before an irreversible tragedy occurs: “Must we wait for deaths before reacting? Fair play is the very essence of sport.”

Quand les équipes se rapprochent de Navettages avec équipes de quartier ou de corporations, , ce n'est pas surprenant que les choses tournent a la violence. Ceci, explique cela. il faut une vigilance en amont
