Unusual: Senegalese attack the 'Actu Foot' page after a post about Pape Thiaw (photos)

In one year on the Senegalese national team bench, Pape Thiaw has won everyone's hearts. The national coach boasts an immaculate record of 10 wins and 2 draws in 12 matches.

Following Senegal's qualification for the World Cup, the "Actu Foot Stats" page (26,000 subscribers), a branch of the "Actu Foot" page, which has 8.7 million subscribers on X, wanted to pay tribute to the work done by coach Thiaw. But when counting the matches, Actu Foot Stats took into account those of the CHAN, managed by Souleymane Diallo. Actu Foot Stats therefore mentioned a record of 18 matches, for 12 wins, 4 draws, and especially 2 defeats.

These statistics are false, and the Senegalese have been quick to point them out. In the comments section, supporters of the Lions of Teranga flooded the page with messages demanding the post's removal. To no avail, as the false post is still on the social network.

Il parait que Pape Thiaw, qui ne s'est pas présenté à la conférence de presse après match, était fiévreux toute la journée.
Avec les chaudes embrassades faites à ses joueurs, j'espère qu'il na rien de contagieux!

Les journalistes publient de fausses informations dans le but d’attirer des vues et des commentaires. C’est vraiment lamentable cette presse.
