Los Angeles and Brisbane Olympics: Significant support of 300 million CFA francs for 20 Senegalese athletes

J.O de Los Angeles et de Brisbane : L’important appui de 300 millions de CFA à 20 athlètes sénégalais

Three hundred million CFA francs. That is the amount that has been distributed to about twenty Senegalese athletes, in the form of scholarships, for the "Los Angeles 2028" and "Brisbane 2032" Olympic Games.

“We did this to allow our athletes to qualify for the Los Angeles Olympic Games. The scholarship will allow them to train properly, to travel, to participate in international competitions in order to accumulate points, especially for combat sports like taekwondo or judo,” explained Seydina Diagne, Secretary General of the Senegalese National Olympic and Sports Committee (CNOSS).

Regarding the Los Angeles Olympics, "until July 2028, each athlete will receive a total of 17 million CFA francs," explained Mr. Diagne at the awards ceremony. As for the young athletes preparing for Brisbane 2032, "until July 2028, each will receive 7.6 million," he added.

He indicated that a team sports grant of 55 million CFA francs will also be awarded to the national women's volleyball team. And if the team manages to qualify, it will receive 100 million CFA francs to allow it to complete the final phase of its preparation before going to Los Angeles.

Franchement...cet argent là pouvait servir à autre chose tellement les priorités sont ailleurs. Mais l'homme noir a un problème pour traiter les urgences

Merci au CNOSS. Cette bourse pour la participation des Lions aux prochains J.O. est indispensable. À ceux qui rouspètent : renseignez-vous sur les salaires des athlètes européens qui portent un maillot national. Ils sont payés, ils ont toujours les derniers équipements et ils ont chacun un véhicule.
