Les joueurs et le jeu : Sadio Mané et Iliman portent les Lions

Senegal has secured its third consecutive qualification for the FIFA World Cup.

In an Abdoulaye Wade stadium in Diamniadio that was entirely behind his cause, and in the presence of the President of the Republic, Bassirou Diomaye Faye, the Lions beat Mauritania (4-0).

In this offensive symphony, the virtuosos Sadio Mané and Iliman Ndiaye shone brightly .

Mory Diaw: 6/10

Starting in place of the injured Édouard Mendy, Mory Diaw had a relatively quiet evening.

Faced with an uninspired Mauritanian attack, the Senegalese goalkeeper was hardly called upon.

In the game, he showed that he is comfortable with the ball at his feet, thanks to good passes towards his defenders.

Krépin Diatta: 7/10

In line with his previous matches, Krépin Diatta delivered a very good performance.

Solid defensively and inspired offensively, he provided a caviar to Sadio Mané for the second Senegalese goal (48th).

Very involved, he participated in the majority of the Lions' offensive actions.

  Kalidou Koulibaly: 7/10

In a match perfectly controlled by Senegal, Kalidou Koulibaly was almost never worried.

True to form, the captain remained focused and clean in his interventions.

On the offensive side, he also contributed with good ball exits. A serious match.

  Moussa Niakhaté: 7/10

Continuing his good performances with Olympique Lyonnais, Moussa Niakhaté was once again imperial.

Solid, sober and clean in his play, he was also invaluable in the recovery, particularly with his left foot. A boss-sized match.

  El Hadji Malick Diouf: 5/10

In a match where Senegal showed its intentions from the start, El Hadji Malick Diouf lacked precision in his crosses.

Apart from a powerful shot pushed away by the Mauritanian goalkeeper (39th), he did not succeed in his first half.

In the second half, he continued to lack precision in his offensive actions, displaying a game with a lot of technical waste.

A game to forget for the West Ham left-back.

  Idrissa Gana Guèye: 6/10

Valuable in midfield thanks to his work ethic and experience, Idrissa Gana Guèye recovered several important balls.

Very present in the heart of the game, the former Diambars player delivered a solid match by being very valuable in possession of the ball. Replaced by Pathé Ciss (88th).

  Pape Gueye: 6/10

Back in the starting eleven after his suspension against South Sudan, Pape Guèye delivered a solid match.

On Sadio Mané's second goal, he perfectly set up Krépin Diatta, who provided the decisive pass.

Replaced by Nampalys Mendy (78th), back in the national team after a long absence.

  Iliman Ndiaye: 8/10

In the first minute, Iliman Ndiaye had a clear chance, which was pushed back on the line.

In the second half, he showed off his talent in his ball handling.

In the 64th minute, he scored the goal of the evening: starting from midfield, he mystified the Mauritanian defense before finishing with a Maradona-esque goal.

Replaced by Cheikh Tidiane Sabaly (78th), still as lively with the ball at his feet.

I smaïla Sarr: 6/10

In the first minute, he served Iliman Ndiaye for an opportunity saved on the line.

At the end of the first period, he missed a one-on-one with the opposing goalkeeper.

More effective then, he offered the fourth goal to Habib Diallo with a nice pass ( 84th

Nicolas Jackson: 5/10

Ghostly in the first period, Nicolas Jackson missed several offensive actions.

In the second half, he was more decisive, taking the lead in Iliman Ndiaye's goal.

Replaced by Pape Matar Sarr (67th).

  Sadio Mané: 8/10

Very enterprising from the start, Sadio Mané multiplied the combinations with his partners.

He could have had two penalties that were not awarded, but finally broke the deadlock with a magnificent free kick in the style of Lionel Messi (45+1).

Immediately after the restart, he doubled the lead with a perfect cross from Krépin Diatta (48th).

Present in all the good moves, the Lions star once again showed that he remains the true technical leader of Senegal. Replaced by Habib Diallo (78th), author of the fourth goal in the 84th minute.
